A new summer festival is set to transform North Broad Street into a vibrant celebration of music, food, culture, and community while putting thousands of dollars directly back into neighborhood businesses.
The North Broad Renaissance (NBR) has announced the inaugural Music & Morsels Festival, a free public event taking place on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. along North Broad Street between Spring Garden and Poplar Streets.
Part of the City of Philadelphia’s Ring It On programming, the event is designed to showcase the energy and diversity of the North Broad corridor while creating meaningful economic impact for the local businesses that call it home.
At the heart of Music & Morsels is a unique initiative that directly benefits neighborhood businesses. The North Broad Renaissance is investing $25,000 into a special coupon book program that encourages attendees to visit local establishments throughout the corridor.
Festival-goers will receive complimentary coupon books featuring free items, exclusive offers, and significant discounts from participating businesses. All promotions will be fully reimbursed by NBR, ensuring businesses benefit financially while gaining exposure to new customers.
“Music & Morsels is intentionally designed to create economic impact,” said Shalimar Thomas, Executive Director of the North Broad Renaissance. “We’ve heard directly from businesses that they want increased foot traffic and stronger visibility. This event helps us respond to that need while also creating a fun, memorable experience for the community.”
Music will serve as the backbone of the festival, with attendees able to experience performances and activations throughout the corridor.
The event will feature:

- Breakdancing showcases
- Latin dance classes
- Interactive entertainment
- Community activations
- Family-friendly activities
Rather than closing streets, organizers will creatively utilize North Broad’s expansive sidewalks, plazas, and public gathering spaces to create an energetic, walkable festival atmosphere.
In addition to music and entertainment, attendees can enjoy a variety of culinary experiences throughout the evening.
Food trucks, participating restaurants, and featured food activations will provide visitors with opportunities to sample local flavors while exploring the corridor.
The event will also include games, community engagement activities, and immersive experiences designed to encourage attendees to discover businesses and destinations they may not have previously visited.

Music & Morsels serves as one of the flagship events within NBR’s larger Summer aBroad campaign, a seasonal initiative focused on increasing visitation, strengthening business growth, and elevating the identity of North Broad Street as Philadelphia prepares for a historic year of major events and celebrations.
The initiative aims to position North Broad as a key destination during the city’s America 250 celebrations and beyond.
