Northern Liberties Spring Fest Debuts With Live Music, 50+ Vendors, Food Trucks, and Family Fun

The Inaugural Northern Liberties Spring Fest arrives on Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Presented by the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District and sponsored by Sprouts Farmers Market, the all-day celebration will take place at 3rd and Poplar Streets and throughout Liberty Lands, bringing together live music, food, art, and community experiences in one vibrant outdoor festival.

Designed as a true community block party, the event highlights everything that makes Northern Liberties unique—from its small businesses and creative scene to its family-friendly energy.

“This is a true block party for the whole community—families, foodies, music lovers, dog owners, art collectors—you name it,” said Executive Director Sydney Rexroad.

The festival will feature two stages of performances, offering a full day of music and entertainment.

Ortlieb’s Outdoor Stage (3rd & Poplar):

  • School of Rock Band
  • The Broke Brothers
  • Freelance Sweatpants
  • The Blackouts
  • Skip Winters
  • Mandy Valentine
  • Cadre Noir
  • The Warhawks

The stage will transition into a Happy Hour After Party with a comedy open mic, hot dog eating contest, and a live set from High Leaf.

Families can head to the Liberty Lands Kids’ Zone (913 N. 3rd St.), a dedicated area packed with activities and performances.

Highlights include:

  • Kids Yoga with Creative Kids Movement Network
  • A live performance of Hansel and Gretel
  • Dance, music, and storytelling
  • “Libby’s Garden” interactive play space for younger children

Expect a strong lineup of neighborhood favorites and local makers serving up everything from casual bites to craft beverages.

The festival will spotlight dozens of local businesses and creatives, reinforcing Northern Liberties as a destination for shopping small and supporting local.
