Moroccan Wins Broad St. Run

Morraccan native Mourad Marofit completed this mornings Blue Cross Broad St. Run with an impressive time of 47:07.   The female winner Bertukan Feyisa Germame of Ethiopia completed the 10 mile run with a time of 55:26.

This year marked the 35th Annual Blue Cross Broad St. Run.  Dubbed “one of the fattest 10 mile courses in the country,” by Runner’s World, the run begins at Olney Ave. and finishes at the Naval Yard in South Philly. Over the years the run has gradually gotten popular and attracts some of the best runners from all over the globe.  In fact over 40,000 runners took part in today’s run.
