MilkBoy South Street Presents Sounds For Peace, a Summer Solstice Music Celebration & Block Party

MilkBoy South Street just announced that it will be hosting Sounds for Peace – a Summer Solstice music celebration and block party commencing this Saturday, June 22, from 12 – 9pm. Organized in collaboration with South Street Headhouse District and Peace Day Philly, attendees can look forward to a day filled with music, art, great food, and community.

The day-long block party and music festival will take place on 4th Street from Lombard to Catherine, with the area only accessible to pedestrians – allowing folks to relax and take advantage of a wide variety of diverse offerings, including fresh food, craft beers, specialty cocktails, shopping from local vendors, tarot card readings, and more. Live music will resonate throughout the day from an extensive lineup of local bands, featuring one outdoor stage and one indoor stage, along with the sounds of Philadelphia-based DJ Smoove spinning for the duration of the event.

“It is always a joy to see the community come together through events like these, and we are thrilled to host an upwards of 16 different bands, musicians, and DJs,” says Maxx Stoyanoff-Williams, General Manager of MilkBoy South Street. “We have something to offer for everyone, and what better day to party than one of the longest days of the year?”

The Sounds for Peace musical lineup is subject to change, but currently goes as follows:

“As we participate in musical events encouraging connection, we make it our mission to celebrate all genres of music. Everyone is welcome to celebrate on this day of peace and unity!” – Peace Day Philly
