Milkboy South Street is Celebrating The Launch of “Milkboy TakeOut” By Giving Away 100 Free Burgers
MilkBoy South Street, part of the iconic Philadelphia-born brand known for booze, bites, and music, is pleased to announce the official launch of MilkBoy TakeOut, a takeaway only module boasting create-your-own burger creations, an assortment of crispy waffle fries, their signature sandwich dubbed “Hit Single”, and more, all helmed by Culinary Director Chef Yun Fuentes. To celebrate, MilkBoy South Street is hosting the Great Burger Giveaway, where the first 100 people will receive complimentary “Hit Single” hamburgers on Sunday, March 20 from 11am – 2pm.
In a quest to craft Philadelphia’s best burger, Fuentes and the team at MilkBoy South Street designed a brand-new takeout concept at MilkBoy South Street titled MilkBoy TakeOut complete with a burger focused menu with the star of the show “Hit Single” ($9.95) a 150g beef patty, Tommy Sauce (their signature sauce named after Co-Founder and musician Tommy Joyner), red onion, MilkBun, and sidekick pickle. The elevated, fast casual offerings utilize high quality ingredients, and encourages collaborations with local purveyors.
“It’s been a blast experimenting with different variations, techniques, toppings, cheeses, meat blends, and so on to craft what we believe to be a great burger,” said Chef Yun Fuentes, Culinary Director of MilkBoy Philly and MilkBoy South Street. “We’re so excited to launch MilkBoy TakeOut and give our neighbors and tourists a chance to enjoy delicious, high quality hamburgers and fries on the go.”
In addition, the MilkBoy TakeOut menu includes a selection of waffle fries (regular, cheesy, and loaded), and “Other Tracks” such as:
· Double Platinum ($14.95) – Two beef patties, Tommy Sauce, Tomato, Lettuce, and Cooper Sharp
· South Street Boogaloo ($10.95) – Sloppy Style, Fried Onions, BeerWhiz with Long Hot Aioli
With the launch of MilkBoy TakeOut comes the Burger of the Month Burger (BOMB). Burger-enthusiasts are encouraged to create their own ideal sandwich by selecting from a plethora of toppings such as baked brie, blue cheese, maple bacon, long hots, sundried salsa, sauerkraut, crispy o’s, crab cake, and much more. Following, they’ll name the burger concoction, and tag @milkboysouthstreet on Instagram for a chance to win a $25 gift card and be featured as the Burger of the Month Burger. The first create-your-own hamburger is dubbed “The Suburb Gal” ($12.95) composed of avocado, bacon, American cheese, ranch, and crispy onions.
MilkBoy’s Great Burger Giveaway on Sunday, March 20 (First Day of Spring) will be the official kick off to MilkBoy TakeOut, allowing 100 people to sample the “Hit Single” hamburger for free. Folks can line up along the sidewalk outside of 401 South Street, and sample Fuentes’ mouthwatering handheld sandwich from 11am – 3pm. Following, MilkBoy TakeOut will operate Sunday through Tuesday from 11am – 3pm and Wednesday through Saturday from 11am – 11pm. Available for takeaway via walk-in orders and delivery through third party apps such as GrubHub, Caviar, DoorDash, and UberEats.
