Midtown Village Will Be Closing Their Streets This Weekend for Fresco Dining!

Looks like ever restaurant corridor is getting looking to ride the fresco dining wave.  If you remember back a couple of weeks ago Old City shut down their roads to let restaurants set up on sidewalks and streets.  Now it looks like Midtown Village and the Gayborhood is getting in on the action.

Starting Friday at 1 pm 13th Street will be closed between Chestnut and Locust St.  In addition Juniper will be shut down from Sansom and Chestnut as well. These closures will last until midnight Sunday.   Expanded outdoor dining will take place Friday 4-10 pm, Saturday and Sunday 11 am – 10 pm.

Restaurants that will be participating in Midtown Village’s fresco dining include Double Knot, El Vez, Drury Beer Garden, Sampan, Charlie Was a Sinner, Barbuzzo as well as the pop-up Salty’s.

It’s worth noting that the Tradesman and Bru will combine into a new pop-up called “Juniper Street Supper Club” This weekend as well.  The pop-up will be located on both Juniper and Chestnut Street and feature a new curated menu as well as what is being branded as the “Stimulus Outdoor Brunch.”  The Juniper Street Supper Club hours will be Friday 4-10 pm, Sat, 11 am – 10 pm and Sunday 11 am -10 pm.
