Looking to Get into The Holiday Spirit? Philadelphia Film Society Will Screen Home Alone in 4K All December Long

The Philadelphia Film Society is bringing a beloved holiday tradition back to the big screen, as the Young Friends of PFS present a month-long series of 4K screenings of the original Home Alone (1990) this December. For anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit, few films deliver nostalgia, comedy, and Christmas charm quite like this timeless classic.

Screenings will take place at the newly renovated Film Society Center, located at 1412 Chestnut Street, offering audiences a chance to experience the movie in stunning clarity in one of the city’s newest cinematic spaces. Handpicked by the Young Friends Board, these screenings are part of a series celebrating cult favorites and nostalgic films that bring the community together.

All are welcome to attend, participate in themed activities, and connect with fellow movie lovers — whether you’re a longtime Home Alone fan or sharing it with a new generation for the first time.

The Young Friends group also invites attendees to consider joining the membership community, which offers exclusive perks including free drinks and snacks, discounted special event tickets, and access to curated screenings.  Tickets are $14 ($9 for PFS members) and cab be purchased at filmadelphia.org/series/pfs-young-friends-film-club/
