Love to cook and want to add some cool new dishes to your repertoire?  Perhaps you’re a novice and want to boost your skills.  Either way the Free Library on Philadelphia on the Parkway is hosting a Culinary Passport series that features local chefs that will walk you through dishes from around the world.

The first class of the Culinary Passport series takes place on Wednesday September 21st at 6 pm and features award winning Chef Clara Park. Chef Park will take attendees on a tour of some of her favorite Korean dishes in this hands-on, interactive class. Participants will learn about Korean culture, cooking techniques, and get tips on sourcing ingredients right here in Philly. On the menu: Kalbi (Korean BBQ short ribs) and kimchi pancakes.

Tickets are $35/person and can be purchased via Eventbrite.  For those looking to attend all four classes, there is a special $100 offer. Click on the ticketing options on Eventbrite to reserve your “fully stamped” passport to redeem it.

The Culinary Passport series brings together an all star lineup of Philadelphia chefs excited to share their culture with you through food.

October 4th – Italian cuisine with Chef Joey Baldino of Palizzi Social Club
October 18th – Mexican cuisine with Chef Carlos Aparicio of El Chingon
