Philadelphia play writer creates sci-fi love story that has tons of action. Tony Moore, Philadelphia native and owner of studio Breed, is making his dreams come true. Writer and director of Japanese Azteroids, a action sci-fi love story is scheduled to debut at the Prince Theater on memorial day May 29, 2017. The production stars actor Darrin Henson, Reality TV start, Jackie Christie and Local actress Alexandra Rush.

Moore, when speaking about the play, “my inspiration for doing this play is to bring awareness to mental health and to restore authenticity to family values.” With the cast line up being composed of more than three quarters from the Philadelphia region, the actors throughout the rehearsal process have created their own little family and share like minded values. Moore says, “As a whole the cast has bonded and respects each other, they come from all different backgrounds, black, white, gay, straight, privileged and non privileged. We only pray that this production will teach others what love really is.”

About Japanese Azteriods:

The world as we know it has been damaged by a  Japanese asteroid hand crafted and detonated by the infamous and ruthless GENERAL HAIKI, played by Jackie Christie. The effects of the asteroid have impacted the world by corrupting all verbal communication, erasing memories and snatching emotion from the heart of humanity. The hope of change and restoration is found in the city of brotherly love in Darrin Henson who plays the role of FUTURE.

HAIKI, the general of the Japanese Army, has set out to destroy the world and humanity as we know it; but Future (with the help of his Love interest Odyssey and close friends Brooklyn and Fletcher) is the only one who has the potential to stop her plan.

Future engages with Enigma played Alexandrea Rush,  (a young woman who finds him via cyberspace) seems to be the only one who knows what has taken place and could potentially be connected to General Hakai. If General Haiki can’t get to Future he has the ability to eternally defeat her and reverse humanity back to its original state…
