Kimpton Hotel Monaco Celebrates National Dog Day with Sidewalk Festival
On National Dog Day, Monday, August 26th, Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia, a boutique hotel in Old City, invites locals and hotel guests alike to its fifth annual “Dog Days of Summer” event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. In partnership with local, no-kill animal shelter Lulu’s Rescue, hotel
staff will set up a pop-up puppy boutique curbside and provide dog washes to help furry friends cool off from the heat and look fresh & clean on their holiday.
Washes are first come, first served, but those waiting can enjoy sweet treats from Big Gay Ice Cream, get a caricature of themselves and their pet from Caricatures by Courtney, and snap a pic in the doggie photo booth. Baths, caricatures, and photos are complimentary, but donations will be accepted for Lulu’s Rescue. As this event is weather dependent, those interested should visit the event page (bitly.com/dogdaysofsummer19) to check for scheduling updates.
Before, during, or after pup primping, join Red Owl Tavern on the patio for a special dog-themed happy hour featuring items like Hush Puppies and Greyhounds for $6 each, with a portion of proceeds going to Lulu’s Rescue.
As with all Kimpton hotels, Hotel Monaco Philadelphia opens its doors to any and all pets. 100% pet-friendly with no size, breed or species restrictions and no deposit required, the Monaco is a top choice for pet owners in the City of Brotherly Love.
