Kevin Hart Will Be in Philly to Celebrate Kevin Hart Day
The biggest comedian to ever come out of Philly is returning this Thursday July 6th to celebrate what the city has declared “Kevin Hart Day,” Thanks to a Resolution introduced by Councilman David Oh, it is now an official city celebration.
Born and raised in North Philly, Kevin Hart has exploded in Hollywood in recent years with a combination of stand-up specials, blockbuster movies, and best selling books. Known for his roles in Ride along, The Wedding Ringer, Central Intelligence, and currently traveling on his Kevin Hart: What Now? Tour, he is probably the hardest working man in showbizz. However, Kevin isn’t too busy to show love to his hometown.
In celebration of Kevin Hart Day, the city is unveiling a new mural from artist Willis “Nomo” Humphrey at Max’s Cheese Steak (only a block away from Kevin’s childhood home) and a free public event, Erie Avenue Family Day!
To give a proper Philly welcome home, recording artists Freeway and Chill Moody will be performing. The party kicks off at 10:30 a.m., and our speaking program hosted by QuincyHarris “Q Deezy” begins at noon.
