Here’s What Some of Philly’s Top Record Stores are Doing for National Record Store Day

Okay music lovers, this one is for you. On Saturday April 22nd, the holiday known as National Record Store Day will take place and of course many of Philly’s top record stores will be having special sales.  So if you were looking for a come up on your personal collection, many stores will be offering discounts as well as selections to some very hard to find music. Check it out

 

Latchkey

1502 E. Passyunk

Latchkey will be offering an extensive list of exclusive vinyl records. They will also have Taylor Swifts RD availabile. In addition enjoy complimentary drinks starting with Mini-Mimosas in the morning and switching to light pours of Latchkey’s signature cocktail High Fidelity. made with rum, cream, and spices at 2pm. As for live entertainment, local DJ Amanda Marcotte will be spinning vinyl throughout the day for shoppers to enjoy.

 

Repo Records

506 South St.

Repo Records will be selling rare and hard to find vinyls (full list is located on their Instagram). For the Swifties wondering, Repo will have 100 of Taylor Swift RSD. In addition Repo will also have raffles to see local concerts at venues including Franklin Music Hall, Brooklyn Bowl, Underground Arts, Union Transfer, TLA, Milkboy, Fillmore, and more.

Main Street Music

4444 Main St.

Main Street Music will be selling rare and hard to find vinyls and to set the mood for music lovers, they will feature live bands. The line up will be 11 am Ruston Kelly, 1:30 pm Sug Daniels, 4 pm Tim Hause, 4:30 pm a surprise performance “from a store and local favorite”

 

Creep Records

608 N. 2nd St.

Creep will be celebrating with 10% off new records (excluding RSD titles) and 20% off used records. Also to be noted they have ordered a bunch of Taylor Swift records.

Milkcrate Cafe

400 E. Girard

Milkcrate’s Record Store Day celebration will include 100’s of exclusive titles.  In addition Milkcrate will have live DJs including Jeff Jazz (8 am-9 am), Dean (9 am -10 am), Wizard Hat(10 am -11 am) the vibes continue with their Vinyl Tap 215 takeover which includes Steve Ferrell, DUJI13, Beau Gordon, Chick Da Funkman, Froz 1, and Spiral out w/Brent.
