Get Ready for Pedal Pusha’s 3rd Annual Bike & BBQ
Remember when the city debuted the Indego Bike Share program and the buzz was pretty big. Well unless you’ve haven’t been paying attention the bike culture in Philly has been really taking off as of late. In fact the city has been exploring the idea of building a new $100 million bicycle arena.
For those of you who are looking to be apart of this increasing popular world of Philly #bikelife or if you’re already immersed, an opportunity to mix and mingle with like minded bike enthusiasts is coming up. The 3rd Annual Bike & BBQ presented by Pedal Pushas, and Community Bikes and Board, will take place on October 4th from 4-7 pm.
The event itself will kick-off at Drexel Park (31st & Powelton Ave.) and will take riders along a 5 mile course that will end at Community Bikes and Boards (712 S. 4th St.). If you have you’re own bike great, if not don’t fret because Indego Bike Share will be providing FEE rentals and helmets during the hours of the event. Participants who register in advance will receive a Pedal Pushas Philly T-Shirt along with a wrist band for the BBQ. There will be a chance for a late registration on the day of the event at Drexel Park along with a pre-ride rally hosted by Sonny the Host.
Obviously all of this riding will have you working up a hunger so to refuel so at the end of the course, riders will be treated to an awesome BBQ along with vendors, music and a chance to meet other Philly riders to swap stories and tips.
So if you’ve been looking for an opportunity to dust off your old bike or looking to network with other bikers, this is a can’t miss event!
