Fringe Bar is Hosting Soul Sessions Presents: Tribute – Neo Soul Pt. 1 Featuring a Live Band Covering Classic Hits

Philly’s live music scene is getting a soulful midweek boost as Soul Sessions launches a new tribute series dedicated to the artists, eras, and sounds that shaped generations. Soul Sessions Presents: Tribute – Neo Soul Pt. 1 lands at Fringe Bar (140 N Christopher Columbus Blvd,)  on January 14, inviting music lovers to immerse themselves in the smooth, heartfelt sounds of Neo Soul.

Doors open at 7:30 PM, with the first set beginning at 8:00 PM, setting the stage for a night built on groove, musicianship, and pure vibe. Tickets are available at tributeneosoulpt1.eventbrite.com

At the heart of the evening is Luke Carlos O’Reilly, a world-renowned jazz musician bringing his signature Soul Sessions experience to the forefront. Known for blending technical excellence with deep musical feeling, Luke Carlos & Co. will lead the live tribute, reinterpreting the sounds that defined Neo Soul’s golden era.

Hosting the night is Jay The Gentleman, whose presence ties together the performance with storytelling, energy, and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the community-driven spirit of Soul Sessions.

Tribute – Neo Soul Pt. 1 pays homage to a core group of artists whose work reshaped R&B and soul in the late ’90s and early 2000s, including:

• Maxwell

• Jill Scott

• D’Angelo

• Erykah Badu

Through live instrumentation and fresh arrangements, the night celebrates the emotion, intimacy, and musical depth that made Neo Soul a movement rather than just a genre.
