Foodie Podcast “Delicious City” is Hosting a Special Italian Sunday Supper Pop-Up Dinner at Primal Supply Meats

Delicious City hosts Eli Kulp and Marisa Magnatta have been highlighting all of the great dishes and foodies of Philadelphia on their podcast. Now the duo is looking to take their love for grub to the next level with another installment of their popular family style pop-up dinner series “Delicious City Supper Club.

“We launched this series at the beginning of 2023 with the first one hosted at one of my favorite places in Philly, Stina Pizzeria, here Chef Bobby of Stina and Chef Phila Lorne of the newly opened MAWN, absolutely killed it with a hyper creative collaboration that linked their two heritages together by telling that story through their food” Eli states.

Now Delicious City Supper Club’s latest pop-up will feature chefs Joey Baldino of Zeppoli (NJ) and Pallizi Social Club as well as Dominic Piperno of Hearthside (NJ). Each dinner will be completely unique and this one won’t be any different. This supper club will be celebrating the beloved Italian American tradition, the Sunday Supper “But, and that’s a big but, this Sunday Supper, well, it’s going to be out of this world because we have two of Philadelphia’s (and Collingswood’s) most exciting Italian chefs in Joey Baldino and Dominic Piperno, who are coming together for the first time to create the Sunday Supper of their and everyone else’s dreams, and I cannot wait to see what they come up with,” Eli adds.

The dinner will be done in a family style seating with two seatings, first one at 2 pm with the second being at 5 pm.  So what exactly is on the menu? It’s sort of a surprise. “That’s the beauty of these events; they’re meant to feel spontaneous and be full of intrigue, which allows the chefs the opportunity to cook uninhibited and flex their creative muscles without having to fit the mold of their typical restaurant menus. And besides, when you have chefs of this caliber cooking a meal that is so deeply meaningful and personal to them and their heritage, you don’t need a menu because it’s not only guaranteed to be mind-blowingly delicious, it’s guaranteed to be incredibly heartfelt and memorable,” Eli describes.

The event is BYO so bring your favorite wines or spirits to enjoy this foodie experience. Tickets vary from family style seating  ($125 + 20% gratuity = $150) to premium seating at the Chef’s Counter ($150 + 20% gratuity = $175) and available here.  5% of all sales will go towards fighting food insecurity in Philadelphia through local nonprofit partners.

“What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than sitting around eating and drinking with friends while some of Philly’s best chefs cook an unforgettable Sunday Supper for you and to do it at such a unique location. Heather Thomason will host us in her state of the art, multi-use facility, it will be one for the ages,” Eli explains.
