Fishtown’s New Outdoor Venue “Terra” Offers Art-Centric Vibes, Mediterranean Cuisine and Live DJs

The outdoor space adjacent to Fabrika is going through a transformation.  Starting June 23rd, the all-new outdoor venue, Terra which means “earth” will be open and will features unique aesthetics, a variety of food and great vibes.

“Like any great bar, Terra is very much a ‘choose your own adventure’ type of place – meet up with friends after work and sip delicious summer cocktails, find a covered escape from the Philly summer, lose track of time while dancing the night away? Terra provides a scene that can take you from a laid back cocktail bar to a carefully curated dance party in an oasis right here in Fishtown. Every night, a unique selection of electronic music is created by local musicians inspired by the beauty of Terra,” states curator Valerie Teachout.

Teachout worked along fellow venue curator K.Spence to create the aesthetics which they describe as “inspired mainly by our travels, specifically the more warm-weather, art-centric spaces of Tulum and Wynwood Arts District in Miami. A lot of the cuisine is inspired by Latin and Mediterranean favorites – empanadas, hummus, octopus, and more. Terra is also true to its name with  plant dividers that separate each table, ivy sprawling across the walls, wood tables, and more.”

Every Friday and Saturday Terra will be 21+ starting at 9 pm. Look for local DJ’s spinning for a festive outdoor experience. In addition, Terra will be hosting a variety of events including movie nights and yappy hours.  The venue seats 75 and 100 standing capacity.

The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, June 23rd at at 5 pm with Music from Ben Arsenal and DJ Royale. Terra will be open every Wednesday- Friday 5pm -midnight and Saturday & Sunday Brunch from noon – 4pm and dinner starting at 5 pm.  Closing times are scheduled for midnight but could stretch until 2 am depending on “when people stop moving and grooving,” Valerie adds.  Happy Hour will be Wednesday-Friday 5pm-7 pm.

As stated the kitchen which will serve food items of globally known tapas, great for sharing with friends. Terra works with local Philly vendors to source parts of their food and drink menus. The kitchen will close 1o pm on weekdays and 11 pm on weekends. No reservations required.
