Federal Donuts Adds Fried Chicken Sandwiches for National Fried Chicken Day
Pace yourself on the potato salad this Independence Day weekend, because Monday, July 6 is National Fried Chicken Day. In observance of our official day of gratitude for one of mankind’s crowning achievements, all four brick-and-mortar Federal Donuts locations will be serving the PortFedNuts Fried Chicken Sandwich ($7) for one day only, 11am until sell out.
To ensure the proper juicy-to-crispy ratio of each sandwich, boneless chicken breasts receive the same battered, twice-fried treatment as Federal Donuts’ mainstay bone-in, free-range chicken. Freshly fried to order, each is dusted with Buttermilk Ranch seasoning and layered with American cheese, Red Hot mayonnaise and dill pickle chips on a Martin’s Potato Roll. Mr. Moe Megman of the internet raves: “This former picky eater with lingering pickle, mayo and ranch issues can’t stay away from the #PortFedNuts sandwich.”
The FedNuts sandwich-making brigade looks forward to celebrating National Fried Chicken Day with you this Monday! If you can’t join us for the holiday, don’t fret: Fried Chicken Sandwiches are available seven days a week at Port FedNuts at Spruce Street Harbor Park (Columbus Boulevard & Spruce Street). Port FedNuts at Spruce Street Harbor Park hours a.k.a Fried Chicken Sandwichpalooza are Monday through Thursday, 4pm-10pm; Friday, 4pm-12am; Saturday, 11am-12am; Sunday, 11am-10pm.
