It Will Have an Impressive Food Truck Line-up

It’s a given now when it comes to festivals and outdoor functions that food trucks will be present. However, not all food trucks are created equa.l When the 2016 season opens for Eakins Oval, the food truck line-up will feature some of the best in the city. There Will Be Activities for the Kids

Okay the Eakins Oval beer garden is the crowning jewel for this summer hotspot but Oval itself will be a family friendly environment. On Saturday afternoons from 12:30-2 pm there will be a Youth Soccer Program. So if you’re looking for a place to take the kids to burn off energy, this is the perfect opportunity. If you happen to have infants at home, you can bring them out too and enjoy the free “Baby and Me Yoga” classes every Wednesday 11am-12 pm.
It Will Feature Health & Wellness Activities

If you’re in the mood to burn off some calories, Eakins Oval can be the perfect place. Everything from yoga to cardio kickboxing, hip hop fundamental classes and more will be going down here. Learn a new skill, get fit and make some new friends this summer!
There Will Be Art Classes Including Claymation

Aside from the Mural Arts Program providing artsy installations, Fleisher Color Wheel will be hosting art classes while Clay Studios will host a couple of stop motion claymation classes for those looking to get in touch with their inner artist. This is a perfect opportunity to get friends and family together or plan a great date.
Live Djs and Entertainment

What summer time get-to-geether would be complete without sweet tunes. Enjoy live Djs on most days and also live entertainment (acts/showtimes are TBD) Stay tune for the updated entertainment info!

Eat, drink and shop. Although no exact dates have been set in regards to vendors, last season folks enjoyed browsing the many vendor booths. Everything from jewelry to clothes to accessories and more can be found here. It will literally not have to leave this place.

The official movie line-up has not been posted but if it’s anywhere near last year’s caliber of movies then you are in for a sweet treat. No better way to catch a flick than at an outdoor beer garden with the Art Museum as the backdrop. How can you beat that?
