Dock Street Brewery Will Debut Its Wu-Tang Clan Beer “Dock Street Beer Ain’t Nothing to Funk With”

Apparently Dock Street ain’t nothing to funk with.  The Philadelphia brewing company caught the attention of beer snobs around the region when they announced nearly 6 months ago that they were brewing a Wu-Tang Clan Beer dubbed Dock Street Beer Ain’t Nothing to Funk With.

If this is all a little confusing to you then let me put you onto the science.  Dock Street Brewery has been aging this beer for 6 months in red wine barrels and have been retrofitted with custom headphones that have been cranking nothing but Wu-Tang beats 24/7.  According to the Doc Street Brewery’s Master Brewer “When yeast grows it produces flavor compounds. Vibrations are proven to cause yeast to grow more, which results in more flavor.” So what better vibrations to produce beer than by the greatest rap group of all-time.  We’re pretty sure Wu-tang’s catalog supplied hundreds of hours of dope beats to get the hops jumpin’.

As for the end result, the beer itself is a golden saison that weighs in at 6.7 percent ABV. The inaugural tapping of this beer will commence at Dock Street Brewery November 4th at 5 pm.  To give this special occasion the ultimate vibe DJ Mathew Law will be spinning the best of the Wu 6-9 pm which will then be followed by a screening of the classic Kung Fu flick Shaolin and Wu Tang.

Beer and Wu-Tang Clan fans will be able to purchase up to two 12 ounce bottles of Dock Street Beer Ain’t Nothing to Funk With.  After the event if you’d like to get your mittens on this special brew, it will be sold exclusively at the West Philadelphia brew pub and online (while supplies last).
