Craft Hall is Hosting Their 2nd Annual Bark Bowl Featuring Dog Competitions and of Course Yappy Hour

Craft Hall, (901 N Delaware Ave.) home of Philadelphia’s only hybrid dog park and beer garden, is bringing the puppy paw-ty back inside on Saturday, February 4th from 1–4 PM for the 2nd annual Bark Bowl. This event is perfect for dog lovers who pre-furr The Puppy Bowl over the Halftime Show, and is a pup-tacular way to spend a Saturday. Enjoy Yappy Hour specials and give dogs (and humans) a chance to socialize, while helping to fetch funds for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA). Bring the whole pack.

Dogs are welcome to enter the indoor turf area, but are asked to remain leashed when they move to the sidelines. Dogs will be called in to play in 10-minute intervals, sorted by size. Whether competing to be top dog or happy to hang with the ruff-erees, there’s nothing else like this for our four-legged friends! Craft Hall kindly asks for dogs that enter events to be up to date on all vaccines, shots and, preferably, neutered/fixed. This is to offer every dog the safety and protection to run free with no worries of future vet visits.

“We were floored last year by the overwhelming response,” commented Neina Langford, FCM Hosptiality’s Special Events Director. “We hoped for maybe 50 RSVP’s, and ended up with 379. We are so excited to be putting together the 2nd annual Bark Bowl, and can’t wait to see this continue to grow and benefit the amazing PSPCA.”

Humans can lap up Yappy Hour menu picks such as the Corgi Apple Mule or Bulldog Barkarita, where $1 from every drink sold will be donated to PSPCA. Guests are invited to dine on the puppy patio, where they can find delectable smoked BBQ platters and craft-style pizza! The event is no dog required – PSPCA will be bringing adorable adoptees who are waiting to get drafted.

“We can’t wait to introduce families to their new M.V.P.s – most valuable pups,” said PSPCA Director of Public Relations Gillian Kocher. “At the Pennsylvania SPCA, we love the opportunity to celebrate with our furry friends across the city while bringing much-needed attention to dogs still in search of their forever home. The whole event is a touchdown!”

While Bark Bowl 2023 is free to join, guests are asked to RSVP at crafthallphilly.com/barkbowl to ensure a proper set-up for all team players.

Craft Hall and Unleashed Bark and Beer are open Wednesday through Friday, 4 to 11:00 pm; Saturday, 11 am to 11 pm; and Sunday, 11 am to 8 pm. For the safety of its guests and staff, food is not permitted in the off-leash areas of Craft Hall. Guests are welcome to dine in the patio area, both with and without a dog companion, order to-go, or dine sans-fido in the traditional dining areas.
