As Eagles fans we love the tradition of tailgating. However, if you’re looking for a way to enjoy a great tailgate, pre-game for the birds, and help a local charity in the process then be sure to check out Cradles to Crayons special tailgate on Sunday November 3rd at FDR Park (3600 S Broad St.).

The Eagles will be taking on the Jaguars in a Sunday night match up, so the tailgate will start at 11 am and will run unit kick-off at 4:05 pm. Tickets to the Craddle to Crayons tailgate are $30 and includes all-you-can-eat food including pizza, hot dogs, donuts, and more, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.Guests will also get to enjoy live DJs,  games, raffle prizes, music, game projection for those that want to stick around and catch the game.

All proceeds go to directly to Craddles to Crayons which provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities.
The tailgate is hosted by Temple University alum Timothy Murray and is in honor of his good friend Lee Wagenhoffer who also graduated from Temple and passed away in 2010. “Timothy could not attend the funeral due to being deployed in Afghanistan at the time. He was very close with his family and wanted to start holding an event to honor his friend. Working with Lee’s mother they chose Cradles to Crayons due to Lee being very active with their North Philly chapter and have been working with the charity ever since to hold these events to raise money. Lee was an avid Eagles fan and loved how the team would bring all of us together. This tradition has been a staple for his close friends and family for the last 12 years. Each year we try to grow the event to reach more people and raise more money for the charity. We lean on the support of different local Philadelphia businesses eager to donate to help with food, beverages, and entertainment for the event,” organizers stated.

Tickets to the Cradle to Crayons are available here.
