Comcast is Offering Free & Discounted Internet Service to Low-Income Households Through the “Affordable Connectivity Program”

This post is sponsored by Comcast: We normally give ya’ll the scoop on cool events and places to eat but here’s a quick PSA to help some Philly residents in need.  Times are tough and if you know someone that can use help with their internet and phone bills, here’s a program that can help.  These days, now more than ever it’s important to stay connected, so for those having trouble making ends meet, Comcast is helping to make things easier with their participation in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program.

We wanted to help spread the word on this awesome program which helps low-income households with a credit of up to $30 per month ($75 per month on Tribal lands) toward their Internet and/or mobile service. Even more helpful is that those that qualify can get home Internet through Comcast’s Internet Essentials or Internet Essentials Plus at no cost once the federal credit is applied.

If having cellphone service is also a heavy burden, Internet Essentials customers can also add a line of unlimited 5G cellular data ($45) through Xfinity Mobile for as little as $24.95/month after the ACP benefit is applied.

With rising inflation and rent prices, this is a great program that can help a lot of Philly residents, so be sure to help us spread the word. “Comcast has a longstanding commitment to helping bridge the digital divide, and helping people stay connected to the Internet and moments that matter. Participating in ACP is a continuation of that commitment,” Comcast states regarding the program.

So if you or anyone you know may be interested in applying for the Affordable Connectivity Program, you can get more info or see if you’re eligible at xfinity.com/acp or call 844-389-4681.
