Cinemark Plans to Reopen All Of Their U.S Theaters by July 17!
Tired of Netflix & chilling? Well, if you miss that official movie theater experience then your wait will be shorter than expected. Cinemark which is the third-largest movie theater chain in the country plans to reopen all of their U.S theaters by July 17th.
In total Cinemark operates over 500 theaters and they plan to phase in their reopenings starting June 19th in Texas. The remaining locations will be phased in between July 3-17th.
A couple of anticipated movies will be available in time for Cinemark’s planned reopening including Disney’s Mulan which opens July 24th and Warner Bros. Tenet opening July 31st.
As “fillers” leading up to the new movies Cinemark plans to screen classic movies at a discounted price. Some of the titles that will be re-released in theaters are Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, Goonies and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Guests can expect to dish out $5 for adults and $3 for children.
In addition Cinemark plans to also discount their concession prices. We all know how much popcorn and soda can break the bank at the movies.
For those worrying about the sanitary conditions, Cinemark stated that they plan to implement strict sanitary policies including mandatory facemasks for employees. Guests can also expect to have staggered seating and are “encouraged” to wear a facemask.
