Chicago’s Award-Winning Rum Bar Three Dots and a Dash is Taking Over Middle Child Clubhouse for One Night

On Monday, August 15 from 7:00 pm – 1:00 am, Chicago’s award-winning tropical bar Three Dots and a Dash is traveling to Philadelphia for the first time and taking over Middle Child Clubhouse (1232 N Front St.) for one night only. Previously named one of the 50 Best Bars, Three Dots Beverage Director Kevin Beary and Head Bartender Scott Kitsmiller connected with Middle Child’s General Manager Brandon Thrash during his time working in Chicago. The three are thrilled to collaborate for this pop-up and mix up some of the most innovative rum cocktails in the country for Philadelphia.

The special menu will feature signature cocktails ($15, plus tax) from Three Dots and non-alcoholic drinks ($8, plus tax) from Middle Child Clubhouse, select beer and wine will also be available.

Three Dots and a Dash Cocktail Menu:

Lower Wacker: Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon, 151 Proof Guyana rum, maraschino, red vermouth, honey, lime, grapefruit

Watermelon Felon: Espolon Tequila, yellow Chartreuse, Aperol, watermelon, pineapple, lime, cinnamon

Idle Hands: Banana Rum blend, clarified banana cordial, lime 2.0

2044: Wray and Nephew Rum, yellow Chartreuse, lime juice, orgeat

Strawberry Junglebird: Wray and Nephew, Appleton Estate, Campari, late bottle vintage port, strawberry, pineapple, lime

Middle Child Clubhouse NA Drinks:

Non-alcoholic Carrot Dreamsicle: Carrot, OJ, oats, earl grey

Non-alcoholic Watermelon-Pineapple Soda: Watermelon, pineapple, white wine verjus

To complement the rum cocktails from Three Dots, guests can enjoy a menu from local Amy’s Pastelillos, a Puerto Rican style empanadas pop-up by Chef Amy Rivera-Nassar and Hummingbird Island, Jamaican food pop-up based in Philadelphia by Chef Tevon Ty.

Thrash has always had a passion to amplify local talent and this special menu will feature some of Chef Amy and Chef Tevon’s signatures as well as a special collaboration dish, the full menu includes:

The regular food and beverage menu will not be available during the pop-up event. The Three Dots and a Dash pop-up will be a walk-in only event on Monday, August 15 from 7:00 PM – 1:00 AM at Middle Child Clubhouse.
