Center City’s Fall Restaurant Week Is Still Happening But With Extra Safety Measures in Place!

Center City District Restaurant Week, a promotion of Center City’s restaurants that has steadily expanded for the last 17 years, will return this fall from September 13 through 25, reformatted with increased health and safety protocols. More than 60 participating restaurants are working together with the CCD to create a safe experience so residents and visitors can support local businesses and keep local workers employed.

Guests are invited to enjoy three-course dinners for $35 per person, as well as $20 three-course lunches at participating locations. Tax, gratuity and beverages are not included. For the first time, prix fixe takeout menus from select restaurants will be offered to accommodate additional patrons, including those who want to support their favorite eateries from the comfort of their own homes. Menu and reservation information for all locations can be found at ccdrestaurantweek.com.

Perennial favorites like Oyster House and Bud & Marilyn’s have returned to participate, along with new additions, including Fork, The Wayward and Salty’s Seafood & Ice Cream Shack. This season, diners can enjoy cocktails from Maker’s Mark bourbon and Hornitos tequila that complement the specialty Restaurant Week menus. Cocktails to-go will also be offered at select locations. Patrons have the opportunity to win dinner for a year. Enter to win at ccdrestaurantweek.com. The full list of Center City District Restaurant Week participants at this time is listed below. Please continue to check the website as additional participants will be added.

Discounted parking will be offered to Restaurant Week diners for $9 or less at participating Philadelphia Parking Association and Philadelphia Parking Authority facilities. Center City District encourages guests to make parking arrangements when making dinner reservations, or plan to access a digital parking voucher at ccdrestaurantweek.com. Restaurants will no longer provide tear-off parking vouchers on check inserts.

“Restaurant Week has always been about connecting diners with the opportunity to try our award-winning restaurants and enjoy long-time local favorites at a great price, but this year, we want to emphasize how much this tradition supports our restaurants and employees during this challenging time,” says Michelle Shannon, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Center City District. “Center City is known for our great food and diverse dining options – cornerstones of our great city— and through beloved events like Restaurant Week, the Center City District aims to sustain our restaurant owners and keep residents working.”

At the beginning of 2020, restaurants, food service and retail provided 39,600 jobs in Greater Center City, 13% of all jobs downtown. Restaurant Week supports this industry and the chefs, wait staff, back of house workers, management and many others who depend on the success of Philadelphia’s food and beverage scene.

Participating restaurants will be following all CDC, City of Philadelphia and state guidelines to ensure the safety of all guests. People who decide to dine out are asked to protect themselves and others by being responsible customers. Help keep workers safe by wearing a mask until it’s time to eat or drink. Stay six feet away from others when possible, and wash your hands often. Anyone who feels sick, or has come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, should stay home.
