Break Out Your White Linen: Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia Just Announced it Will Return for its 12th Year
Perhaps the most polarizing event in Philly is back his summer. Following its 11th celebration that drew over 5,000 guests at Memorial Hall last year, Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia has just announced it will be returning on August 15th.
With the 2024 Paris Olympics on the horizon, Philly’s Le Dîner en Blanc looks to tap into that synergy and create a Parisian experience of its own. For those not familiar with Dîner en Blanc, it’s essentially a pop-up experience that takes place at a location that is undisclosed until right before it begins. Attendees are instructed to wait at specific waiting areas until they are notified via text. However, not just anyone can attend. Dîner en Blanc is known for its invite-only format which has drawn some critics over the years. Despite this, Dîner en Blanc still draws thousands of attendees each year, making it one of the most success pop-up events in the city. Past locations included the Navy Yard, Franklin Square, the Please Touch Museum, as well as the Art Museum steps.
“We are thrilled to announce the return of Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia for its 12th year on August 15th, 2024. This iconic event has become a cherished tradition, bringing together our community in a magical evening of elegance, friendship, and celebration. We can’t wait to create more unforgettable memories with everyone this year,” said Natanya DiBona, Co-Host of Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia.
Guests can look forward to “an evening of French flair, delicious food and drink, and a vibrant atmosphere as attendees come together to enjoy delicious food, delightful company, and the magic of this unique tradition,” organizers stated.
