Break Out Your Puffy Dresses Because The Franklin Institute is Throwing an 80’s Prom
By now you should be familiar with The Franklin Institute’s Science After Hours. The wildly popular adults only event switches up its themes every month and are almost always sold out. This month, Science After Hours is going with the classic 80’s prom theme. That’s right, it’s time to dust off your scrunchies, puff dresses, skinny ties, and head back to the future.
The prom kicks-off at 7 pm and will feature DJ Robert Drake (WXPN) spinning under the stars at the Fels Planetarium for a night of throwback dance hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s as well as some ‘out of this world’ tracks.
The party continues at the Prince Theater where Science After Hours ticket holders get free admission to the Philadelphia Environmental Film Festival’s opening night party from 10:00 – 11:30pm. This is an awesome chance to mix cult classic 80’s gear with science. It could possibly be the nerdiest yet coolest Science After Hours to date! Click Here for Tickets!
