Bok Bar Returns for Its 11th Season With Chef Residencies, Rooftop Events, and Sweeping Skyline Views

Bok Bar officially reopens for its 11th season on Thursday, April 9, bringing a full lineup of chef residencies, live events, and some of the best rooftop views in the city through November 1, 2026.

Perched atop the historic Bok Building, Bok Bar has evolved from a creative experiment into a staple of Philadelphia’s cultural scene—known for its laid-back atmosphere, skyline sunsets, and a steady rotation of food and music programming.

At the heart of Bok Bar’s season is its monthly chef residency program, which brings some of the region’s most exciting culinary concepts to the rooftop.

The 2026 lineup includes:

  • April: Cantina La Martina
  • May: Tabachoy
  • June: Puyero
  • July: Gabriella’s Vietnam
  • August: Korea Taqueria
  • September: Rice & Sambal
  • October: Darnel’s

Kicking things off is Cantina La Martina, led by James Beard finalist Dionicio Jiménez. Known for bold, Mexico City-inspired cuisine, the residency offers a new opportunity for fans to experience the restaurant’s flavors following the closure of its Kensington location.

Beyond the food, Bok Bar’s free event series returns with a packed schedule of music, movement, and community-driven programming.

Highlights include:

  • Salsa Sundays with DJs Big George and VSpice
  • Boot Scoot dance nights with DJ Hugocito
  • Monthly drag performances from Brittany Lynn and the Drag Mafia
  • “The Club for Connection” gatherings hosted by DJ Yolo Ono
  • Fitness programming also returns, with rooftop yoga and wellness classes led by KG Strong—each session supporting a different local nonprofit.

Music fans can look forward to a full slate of performances throughout the summer, including sets from Josh Lang, DJ Sylo (BWC Sounds), Dave P. (Making Time), Lee Jones (Sundae Philly), and the return of Bok Bar’s annual FOH Series.

What began as the first public activation inside the Bok Building has grown into one of the city’s most recognizable seasonal hangouts. Over the past decade, Bok Bar has become a space where artists, chefs, musicians, and neighbors come together, all set against panoramic views of the Philadelphia skyline.

Bok Bar operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited semi-private reservations available for larger groups.

Hours for the 2026 season:

Wednesday & Thursday: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday: 5 p.m. – Midnight
Saturday: 2 p.m. – Midnight
Sunday: 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.
