Philadelphia Brewing Company, one of Philly’s oldest and largest breweries, is partnering with award-winning, grain-to-glass distillery,
Bluebird Distilling, for Tiki Invasion — a fun Tiki pop-up featuring Tiki cocktails, a Tiki Garden, and beer release on Wednesday, August 28 from 5 to 10 pm in the newly expanded beer garden in front of Philadelphia Brewing Company. (2440 Frankford Ave.)

Tiki Invasion will mark the launch of Philadelphia Brewing Co.’s Tahitian Wheat, a tropical-inspired wheat beer with a fruity punch. At 4.5% ABV, this session-able brew is a purple-red hue and is made with cherry, pineapple and pomegranate juice, making it the perfect late-summer sipper.’

“We’re excited to re-release our Tahitain Wheat after it sold out last summer!” said Nancy Barton, Co-Owner of Philadelphia Brewing Co. “It’s also a fun way to partner with our friends at Bluebird Distilling! We can’t wait to break out the flamingos, leis, and
Tiki poles.”

Guests can enjoy two featured Tiki cocktails courtesy of Bluebird Distilling – a Classic Daquiri ($10) made with Bluebird Distilling Sugarcane Rum, lime juice, and simple syrup, and a GG & BB ($10), a Dark & Stormy riff made with Bluebird Distilling Dark Rum, Commonwealth Cider Gregarious Ginger, and fresh lime.

Guests can bask in the glow from the light-up palm trees, salvaged from a defunct Hooters, while sipping on their Tiki tipple of choice and listening to Tiki tunes. “The Tiki pop-up is the perfect mid-week escape — and let’s be real, what’s better than sipping a Bluebird rum cocktail under a palm tree?” said Bluebird Distilling Founder, Jared Adkins.
