Human Robot’s USA vs. The World: An Oktoberfest Celebration Will Offer Plenty of Food, Entertainment, and Beer
Human Robot is raising the stakes — and the steins — for their annual USA vs. The World: An Oktoberfest Celebration, happening Saturday, September 20, from 12:00 to 5:30 p.m. on the 1700 block of Germantown Avenue. This outdoor block party-style beer fest brings together top lager breweries from across the U.S. and abroad in a friendly but fierce competition that pits Philly’s finest against their German ancestors.
Beer lovers can sip their way through an invite-only lineup of premium lager purveyors from the Philly region and beyond while enjoying a full slate of entertainment. The day kicks off with a Long Dog Beauty Pageant before rolling into high-energy sets from West Philadelphia Orchestra, The Touched, St. James & the Apostles, and more. Tickets are available at humanrobotbeer.com/oktoberfest
Festivalgoers can also get in on the fun with classic Oktoberfest-style competitions, including stein hoisting (BYOB your own liter mug), a yodeling contest, and the much-anticipated World’s Fifth Ever Milk Tube Race. Expect plenty of Bavarian vibes mixed with Philly attitude.
Festival food options will showcase both local favorites and German-inspired bites, including:
-
Mom Mom’s food truck
-
Cantina La Martina
-
Bake Bake Philly serving German sweets and pretzels
-
And more local vendors
It’s all happening rain or shine, and guests must be 21+ to drink.
