Bake’n Bacon’s Chef Justin Coleman Will Be Featured on Guy’s Grocery Games and Is Hosting a Watch Party

It wasn’t enough for Bake’n Bacon’s Chef Justin Coleman to open Philly’s first bacon-themed restaurant. Now the budding restauranteur is making waves once again but this time on TV.

Chef Coleman will be making an appearance on the Guy Fieri’s “Guy’s Grocery Games” on The Food Network and he’s planned a special watch party for the occasion. On Wednesday October 23rd at Bake’n Bacon (1148 S 11th St.).

The watch party will kick-off with a meet & greet at 8 pm then the show begins at 9 pm.  For guests, enjoy happy hour food and drinks all evening as well as complimentary champagne to celebrate the special occasion.

For those not familiar with the show, The Food Network describes the Triple G show as “Four chefs competing in three elimination challenges testing their culinary skills as they make their way through the store’s aisles. Each challenge features a theme — such as using only items from frozen foods — and is judged by a rotating list of guest judges who determine which contestant is eliminated. The chef who makes it through all three challenges then has two minutes to go through the aisles collecting items on a shopping list. Each item on the list is worth $2,000 and if the chef gets every item, the $20,000 grand prize is awarded.”

Being on Guy’s Grocery Games was an amazing experience from being flown out, to the hotel to meeting Guy to meeting then other chefs. The competition was intense but it was so much fun. I would love to do it again, it was a great overall experience. I am looking forward to Philadelphia and New Jersey to watching the show and for those that can come to Bake’n Bacon, watching it and getting to meet people. The meet & greet starts at 8 o’clock,” states Chef Coleman. This is just a great opportinity for Bake’n Bacon, for Philadelphia, for all those in South Philly. I’m ready,” he added.
