A-Trak, Lowbudget, Dirty South Joe & More Will Be Spinning a The Red Bull Music Presents: HOLLERBOARD REDUX
The say music is the soundtrack of our lives. One song can instantly overwhelm you with nostalgia. Things like our first love, our first heartbreak, celebrations and of course parties. During Philly’s golden nightlife years of the early 2000’s a relatively unknown DJ by the name of Diplo kickstarted an online forum that local DJ’s could be apart of and share tunes that would provide the soundtrack to many Philadelphians and partygoers in the tri-state area. The forum would be known as Hollerboard.
The site quickly took off and eventually morphed from a music sharing forum to a place where producers as well as music lovers could congregate. This was of course before social media. The forum would go on to thrive for several years and would play a part of many success DJs around the country including Nick Catchdubs, Flosstradamus, DJ Sliiink, Four Color Zack, and Spank. Eventually Diplo would link up with follow Philadelphia DJ, Lowbudget and to create the Hollerboard inspired party Hollertronix.
Now Red Bull is looking to kick up a little nostalgia and reviving the Hollertronix golden years with their upcoming party Hollerboard Redux.
Taking over the entirety of Warehouse on Watts (923 N Watts St.) on September 28th from 8pm and running all night long, Hollerboard Redux will revisit the legendary culture, artists and music which originated from the legendary Hollerboard forum.
