M. Night Shyamalan Is Hosting “Night After Night” With Film Scores By James Newton Howard Including The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, & More
We are all familiar with M. Night Shyamalan’s work as a director. Having been the mastermind behind many iconic films (most of which have been set in the Philly area), not everyone knows the man that helped shape these movies sonically. Composer James Newton Howard is the man responsible for making M. Night’s scenes memorable and hunting.
On Friday September 20th beginning at 8 pm, movie and music buffs are invited to experience “Night After Night,” an evening filled with hauntingly beautiful music of James Newton Howard, complemented by the soulful artistry of Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Gil Shaham, in an enchanting performance that captures the essence of M. Night Shyamalan’s cinematic world.
Critically acclaimed film director, producer, and screenwriter M. Night Shyamalan will host an evening to celebrate one of the most successful collaborations between a contemporary film director and a composer—Shyamalan and the Emmy® and GRAMMY®–winner, James Newton Howard. This performance highlights Howard’s haunting scores that became part of the identity of eight of Shyamalan’s eerie, mind-bending thrillers—The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village, The Last Airbender, and more. Howard will lead Your Philadelphia Orchestra with special appearances by pianist Jean Yves Thibaudet and violinist Gil Shaham in this incredible one-night-only event.
