Joseph’s Pizza Parlor is Hosting a Wagyu Cheesesteak Pop-Up With Rolls From El Chingon, Wagyu Sommelier, and More
There have been many varieties and takes on the classic cheesesteak but none offer higher quality meat than wagyu. Joseph’s Pizza Parlor ( 7947 Oxford Ave.) is looking to make their own version of the wagyu cheesesteak with a special pop-up featuring some of the city’s top chefs and purveyors.
On Tuesday February 27th, from 6 pm to 8pm Joseph’s Pizza Parlor will be having a special wagyu cheesesteak pop-up event that will feature rolls by Chef Carlos from El Chingon, pickles from Fishtown Pickle Project a special maritozzi dessert baked by Saif Manna of Manna Bakery, and their own tomato pies for apps.
“I’ve been wanting to do some collaborations with some of our favorite Philly businesses, chefs, purveyors & influencers for a while now & it’s officially time to stop talking about it and start being about it,” stated owner Mathew Yeck. “We are already planning future food events but wanted to start with a banger. Certified A5 Wagyu imported from Japan, the best of the best,” Mathew added.
Guests will get to choose what they’d like on their wagyu cheesesteaks which includes the options of regular cooper sharp or black pepper cooper as well as choice of fried onions. In addition Chef Rich of June BYOB (who is wagyu certified) as well as Nan Sato of Waygu Sommelier will be on hand to speak about the cheesesteak and cuts.
Tickets will be $100 with Eventbrite link starting Tuesday February 20th. Those interested can also submit their info on Joseph’s Pizza Parlor’s website at josephspizzaparlor.com.
