Evil Genius is Hosting a Dog Themed “Block Pawty” This Weekend With Baked Dog Treats and Activities
If you were looking for something to do with your four legged friend or friends, here’s something worth checking out. Evil Genius will be hosting a special “Block Pawty” dubbed “Did We Just Become Best Friends?” on Saturday, May 20th from 12:00pm to 7:00pm on the 1700 block of N. Front Street in Fishtown, outside of their taproom (1727 N. Front St). The event is free to attend as well as family and dog friendly so be sure to bring the whole crew out for the day.
“Our guests love to bring their dogs to the beer garden”, said Ryan Keller, Marketing Manager at Evil Genius. “When the sun comes out, the beer garden is packed with our furry friends and at our previous block parties we’ve noticed that lots of people bring their pups to hang out with them, so we figured we’d throw a party that they can enjoy too. There’s going to be a ton of entertainment for both dogs and their owners at the event” Keller continued.
Four-legged pawty-goers can look forward to fresh baked dog treats from Amelie’s Bark Shop as well as dog toys and treats from Doggie Style Pets. Heart & Paw as well as the Pet Mechanic will have booths detailing their veterinary services as well as free giveaway items. Don’t have doggie to call your own yet? No worries, two non-profit charities, Saved Me Rescue and The City of Elderly Love, will be in attendance with adoptable dogs.
For entertainment, the Lally Brothers Band will be playing classic throwback songs from 2-6pm. Humans can expect to get treats as well with both the Burrito Feliz food truck and Grippy’s Cookie Co. in attendance. There will also be free axe throwing courtesy of Axecessive Force and free face painting for both kids and adults from Fabulous Faces Face Painters. Of course, Evil Genius will have an outside bar featuring pints of their beer as well as canned offerings from Canary Cocktails and Stateside Vodka.
