Philadelphia is Extending the Ban on Indoor Dining!
Almost like clockwork, Philadelphia extends the deadline for indoor dining. The initial deadline was January 4th. However, the city now says that it will extend the ban on indoor dining and gatherings until January 15th.
Health Commissioner Thomas Farley made the announcement Tuesday also adding that the statewide restrictions on museums and gyms will be allowed to continue January 4th. Dr. Farley is concerned about cases spiking during the holiday season stating, “We need to get past that spike before it’s safe to back off.”
Here’s what’s restricted until January 15th:
- Indoor dining
- Casinos
- Indoor gatherings/events
- In-person college classes/instructions
- Indoor organized sports
Here’s what will be allowed starting January 4th (masks must be word at all times):
- Outdoor sports
- Museums
- Gyms
- In-person high school classes/instructions
- Outdoor catered events
