The New Indoor-Outdoor Venue “Cherry Street Pier” is Opening on the Waterfront This October!
Slowly but surely the Delaware Waterfront is getting the revitalization it deserves. This October the all-new Cherry Street Pier will open across from the FringeArts building and adjacent to Race Street Pier. Cherry Street Pier will feature over 55,000 square ft. of mixed-use space including retail, dining, business, events, and green space. The Pier will feature both indoor and outdoor attractions and will be open all-year-round.
This once abandoned warehouse has been repurposed thanks to a $5 million makeover. Designed with both functionality in mind, Cherry Street Pier will offer businesses the option to rent repurposed cargo shipping containers located outdoors or occupy designated co-working spaces along the main indoor corridor.
Those looking to host events or to simply to be entertained, an event space will be centrally located in the back of the pier. If relaxation is something that floats your boat, an open air tranquil garden with sweeping views of the Delaware River and Benjamin Franklin Bridge will also be onsite.
What riverfront attraction would be complete without food and drink options? An artisanal market as well as other food vendors will also be on the premises to provide a variety of options.
Cherry Street Pier will be the perfect compliment to Spruce Street Harbor Park and will be a new shining light for the once dull waterfront. With all of the new parks and attractions along the riverfront, capping 95 looks to make more sense. We’ll give you guys more updates on the park once new info is released.
