Meet Carter Winter, the first country artist signed to Roc Nation!
Since its inception Roc Nation has been synonymous with hip hop and R&B. Its roster of talent reads like a who’s who in the industry. Every time I look up I see a new big name artist rocking the paper plane hat. However, it looks like Jigga Man and the powers that be over at Roc Nation are shaking things up a bit. In a bold move by what has been painted an “urban” a&r and management house, they’re busting down the doors into a new genre with up-and-coming country singer Carter Winter.
Hailing from Ohio, Carter isn’t your typical cowboy hat wearing, pick-up driving crooner here to sing the blues. Instead we’re talking about a baby faced, tattooed-up artist that is poised to be the next big thing in country music. We happened to catch up with Carter at the 2017 Made in America Music Festival.
