Reminder All Night Subway Service Starts June 15th
As we reported before SEPTA will be providing all night subway service on weekends starting June 15th. So only the El and Broad St. line will be 24 hours. From midnight to 5 am the trains will be running about every 20 minutes and there will be workers at high traffic stations. However, for low traffic stations you will need a token, pass, or exact change. This awesome service runs all summer until Labor Day. Although we feel that if Philly wants to transition into a world class city they need 24 hours all day everyday. For all those that still prefer the Night Owl bus service they will still continue to run as well.
SEPTA recognizes the growing nightlife in Center City and feel that this test run could provide as a litmus for future extended hours. So we say ride, ride, ride! Let’s make this a permanent thing.
