One of the West Coast’s most buzzed-about food brands is officially landing in Philly. Mr. Fries Man will open its first Pennsylvania location on Friday, April 24, bringing its over-the-top loaded fries concept to Fishtown at 2313 Frankford Avenue.
Known for its viral social media presence and bold flavor combinations, the California-born franchise is making its East Coast expansion with a major opening day celebration—including free food for early guests.
To mark the debut, Mr. Fries Man Philly will offer complimentary Jr. loaded fries to the first 150 guests at 11 a.m. and again at 5 p.m. (first come, first served).
Guests can also expect cash giveaways throughout the day, powered by Texathon, adding even more incentive to line up early.
Mr. Fries Man has built its reputation on indulgent, fully loaded fry creations—and the Philly location is bringing the full lineup.

There’s even a $1 wing deal, with 10 wings for $10 or 20 for $20, making it a strong late-night contender once expanded hours roll out.
The Philadelphia location is led by two familiar names in the local food scene:
- Galen Thomas, the entrepreneur behind Cloud Cups Gelato and Philly Cheesecake Lady
- Chef Donte Fassett of Mason Meals
Together, they’re bringing the West Coast concept to one of Philly’s fastest-growing food corridors—and adding a local twist, including a Philly-exclusive cheesesteak fries option expected to launch soon.
Mr. Fries Man joins an already growing cluster of concepts tied to Thomas, including Cloud Cups and Philly Cheesecake Lady—creating a mini food hub with crossover potential for catering and delivery.
“Philadelphia is the perfect home for this concept,” Thomas said. “We’re bringing what made it a phenomenon—and then Philly-ing it up.”
