As Philadelphia prepares to host matches during the FIFA World Cup 2026, a new partnership is aiming to make getting home easier—and free—for fans.

Airbnb has joined forces with Philadelphia Soccer 2026 to provide complimentary rides on SEPTA’s Broad Street Line following all six World Cup matches held in the city.

Free Rides Home After Every Match

The initiative will cover rides on the Broad Street Line departing from NRG Station, the main transit hub serving the South Philadelphia Sports Complex.

Fans attending matches will be able to ride home free of charge starting at halftime and continuing for two hours after the final whistle. Regular fares will still apply for travel to the games.

To accommodate crowds, SEPTA will operate both its standard service and additional Sports Express trains running every 10 minutes or less.

The free-ride program is designed to make the World Cup experience more accessible, while also easing congestion and encouraging the use of public transit.

“As we embark on an epic year for sports in Philadelphia, I’m glad Airbnb is stepping up to provide free rides for fans so they can get home safely and affordably,” said Josh Shapiro.

Airbnb officials emphasized the importance of creating inclusive experiences for both visitors and residents during one of the world’s largest sporting events.

Match Schedule in Philadelphia

Philadelphia will host six matches during the tournament, including a Round of 16 matchup on July 4. The full schedule includes:

  • June 14: Côte d’Ivoire vs. Ecuador
  • June 19: Brazil vs. Haiti
  • June 22: France vs. Iraq
  • June 25: Côte d’Ivoire vs. Curaçao
  • June 27: Croatia vs. Ghana
  • July 4: Round of 16

Each match is expected to draw large crowds, making transportation planning a key part of the overall fan experience.

Leaders from Philadelphia Soccer 2026 say accessibility has been a priority from the beginning, with this partnership helping ensure that fans can fully enjoy the event from kickoff to the ride home.

SEPTA officials also highlighted the Broad Street Line as the most efficient way to travel to and from the stadium district, especially during high-attendance events.
