Iron Hill Brewery to Reopen Center City Location Following Company-Wide Restaurant Closures
After a turbulent stretch that saw widespread closures across the region, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant is making a return—announcing the reopening of its Center City Philadelphia location.
According to a recent social media post, the Center City outpost will officially reopen on Sunday, April 19,, at 12 p.m., marking what the company describes as the beginning of a new chapter. Th post states:
“Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Center City Philadelphia reopens this Sunday, April 19th at 12 pm!
We hope you will join us as we reestablish the brand you have loved for almost 30 years. We are excited to introduce you to a new chapter, new menu items and a new beer called Unfinished Business.
WARNING: Please be aware of copycats and scammers creating malicious Iron Hill Brewery content and links. We are thrilled to serve you at our authentic site ironhillbrewery.us and can’t wait to see you at our locations re-opening soon.”
The reopening comes months after Iron Hill announced the immediate closure of all locations and filing for bankruptcy amid ongoing financial challenges.
An internal message from leadership at the time confirmed that efforts to secure new funding had fallen through, forcing the company to cease operations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. The abrupt shutdown left employees and customers alike caught off guard, bringing a pause to a brand that had been a staple in the region for nearly three decades.
Founded in 1996 in Newark, Delaware, Iron Hill had grown into one of the area’s most recognizable brewpub chains, known for its house-made beers and approachable dining experience.
