Restaurants and Bars Can Now Deliver Beer in PA
The ongoing battle between alcohol consumers vs. the liquor control board just got a little less tense. The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board ruled that places of business that sell beer such as restaurants , grocery stores, or bars will be permitted to deliver up to two six packs.
If you were wondering if there is any fine print to this great news, well there is a small stipulation. Customers who order beer for delivery must pay via credit card and provide proper ID upon delivery. A small price to pay for such a convenience.
Although the service isn’t groundbreaking in the sense that beer delivery is common in other parts of the country, it is a victory for PA residents who have to deal with the PLCB while living in the commonwealth.
Economists and state officials are hoping that the new ruling will help businesses with their bottom line especially going into the first quarter.
