5th Annual They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds Family Wellness Retreat Returns September 27

Families are invited to step away from the busyness of daily life and into a day of restoration at the 5th Annual They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds Family Wellness Retreat, taking place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Natural Lands’ Saunders Woods Preserve in Gladwyne, PA.

Hosted by Black Girls With Green Thumbs, this beloved retreat is designed to nurture mothers, children, and families through a full day of healing practices, cultural experiences, and community connection in the stillness of the woods.

Guests can expect a holistic lineup of activities centered on wellness, joy, and resilience, including:

• Yoga sessions for grounding and mindfulness

• Guided nature hikes through the scenic preserve

• Arts & crafts workshops for creativity and bonding

• Plant-based cooking workshop showcasing nourishing meals

• African drumming and dancing to uplift spirits and celebrate culture
