Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

The Walnut Street Theatre is proud to present Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Our holiday magic begins when a troupe of actors appear at the historic Walnut Street Theatre to set up and perform the heartwarming tale of Ebenezer Scrooge. We all know this grumpy old miser’s response to holiday cheer is “Bah, Humbug.” Scrooge is a bitter old man who can no longer feel joy or affection, even for his family. But on one remarkable Christmas Eve, he is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. With their help, can Scrooge change his ways?

Story Time at the Lodge
New this year is a storytime series taking place every Saturday starting December 2 in partnership with the Free Library of Philadelphia. The series features local Philly authors, performers, personalities, and more reading both classic and new books chosen by the Free Library of Philadelphia. Light snacks and hot chocolate will be provided for the kids.
TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS MOVIES
Bring family and friends out to Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest for 12 movie nights leading up to Christmas Eve. Enjoy holiday favorites such as A Charlie Brown Christmas, Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and more. All movies will be shown in the Lodge, with plenty of comfy seating and great food and drinks.
