We perused Eventbrite for some of the best virtual Halloween experiences happening this weekend. Spooky Halloween Dance Party!

Virtual Haunted House – A Choose Your Own Adventure Experience

Log onto Zoom and take part in a virtual haunted house that puts you in the driver’s seat. Explore the multiple rooms of the Wheeley Mansion making important decisions every step of the way. Do you travel here or there? Do you run or hide? Fight or flee? The answer to each of these questions will determine your journey. Choose carefully, there is only one path that leads to escape! It will take between 5 and 15 minutes to complete the haunted house, please register for the time block you will attend. Log in any time during your time block but no later than 15 minutes before it ends.

Expert story teller Dave Silk will set your nerves on edge, tingle your spines and scare you senseless with traditional ghost stories.
All profits will be equally shared between St Oswald’s Hospice and the Ghanaian Childrens Trust.
Virtual Haunted House Escape Room

Watch on Zoom from the comfort of your own homes while a librarian serves as your avatar in the escape room. The librarian will be your eyes, ears, hands, and feet, but it’s up to you to tell her what to do! Move your avatar around the room as you search for clues, solve riddles, and race against the clock. Each group will have 60 minutes to solve the room. There is a maximum of 10 participants per group.
Day of the Dead in Oaxaca: a VIRTUAL experience

Day of the Dead is a magical time in Oaxaca when the spirits return to visit their loved ones, and the living honor, remember, and celebrate their lives. In Oaxaca, it’s customary to set up altars and sand tapestries, decorate the graves and maintain a vigil in the cemetery. There are also fun costumed celebrations known as comparsas.
Through captivating images and video clips, we’ll explore these traditions and their meaning in the lives of Oaxaqueños. This will be a fun and informative session that will allow you to learn about the origins, history and traditions of Día de Muertos observances in Mexico in general, and some differences that are particular to Oaxaca. There will be time for you to ask any questions you may have.

Questions will relate to traditional Halloween lore, scary movies, spooky music, and other little tidbits of trivia related to pumpkins, bats, and skeletons (as an example). Not that good at trivia? Ghoul, not only is nearly every question accompanied by a song that serves as a clue during answering time, but we have packed this event with something for every player to feel like they got their Halloween jollies in order
