The Feast of Seven Fishes is a time-honored Italian Christmas Eve tradition, honoring the vigil prior to a religious holiday when no meat was served.   That tradition has turned into a culinary holiday that everyone can enjoy.  Traditionally served Christmas Eve, Feast of the 7 Fishes can range from 7-13 types of seafood.  Many Philadelphia area restaurants will be serving special prix fixe meals with the best seafood in the house.  So if you’re looking to partake, here is your guide to the Feast of the 7 Fishes in Philly!

Amis

Dec. 23rd | 412 S 13th St.

Little Nonna’s

One of our favorite gems in Center City, Little Nonna’s is offering a prix fixe meal for their Feast of the 7 Fishes in Philly, which include whipped salt cod, fried cod, calamari, baked oysters and much more. Their special runs from December 19th-23rd and will be $50 per person. See the full menu here.

Gran Caffe L’Aquila

From December 17th through December 24th, you can enjoy a la carte meal which will include traditional Neapolitan cod, fresh monkey fish and salmon, fried semolina crusted calamari and much more.  See the menu and pricing here.

A prix fixe menu of uniquely delectable seafood courses will be available, recalling the seven Catholic Sacraments, the number of days in the week, Rome’s seven religious pilgrimage sites, and the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.  Davio’s 7 Fishes meal will be served Christmas Eve at $75 per person.  See the full menu here.

Fork is serving up an awesome 7 Fishes meal Christmas eve 4pm-8pm, items subject to change but as of now the menu consists of $85 prix fixe menu of crab sphaghetti, venison tartare, sweet amalia oysters and more.  See the full menu here.

Oyster House - Shucked Oysters

Oyster House is extending their 7 Fish meal over a week. A Special Family-Style Holiday Meal Monday Dec. 17th – Thursday Dec. 20th.  Menu is $55 per person and will feature scallop shrimp, swordfish and more.  Visit their site for more info.
