You Can Pack a Picnic and Enjoy The Mann Center’s Screening of “Star Wars: A New Hope” With a Live Orchestra

If you’ve never been to a movie screening with a live orchestra, here’s your chance. On June 20th, The Mann for the Performing Arts will be hosting a special movie night featuring Star Wars: A New Hope with a live orchestra and the best part of it is that you can pack your own picnic and enjoy the show.

That’s right, The Philadelphia Orchestra will be playing the movie’s musical score, elevating your viewing experience. “The Philadelphia Orchestra will play Oscar®-winning composer John Williams’s musical score live as the film is projected on three giant screens. Pack a picnic and join us for a perfect summer night under the stars,” The Mann describes.

The show starts at 8 pm and tickets are available for those looking to grab seats in the TD Pavilion or make it a picnic experience and bring your own food, drinks, and chairs (or blanket).

That’s right, you won’t have to sneak in snacks here because this show is a part of the Mann’s Summer Picnic Series that allows guests to pack and picnic and enjoy the show.

Other Summer Picnic Series shows include:
June 17: Beethoven’s Fifth with The Philadelphia Orchestra
July 23: 125 Years of The Philadelphia Orchestra
July 23: A Championship Season with The Philadelphia Orchestra
