Whoa! Franklin Fountain is Hosting a Hand Crafted Root Beer Tasting Event! Sign Me Up!
The staple of ice cream in Philly is without a doubt Franklin Fountain. Yea, there are tons of other spots with outrageous flavors and toppings but when it comes to real classic Philly ice cream, Franklin Fountain reigns supreme. Perhaps one of the most classic ice cream treats is the root beer float. But how much do we really know about the fizzy drink? Well on June 14th Franklin Fountain will be hosting a hand crafted root beer tasting event.
Held at The Clay Studio (139 N. 2nd St.) from 6:30 -8:30 pm, the event will feature tastings led by the owners of the Franklin Fountain, where guests will learn about the production and origin of this timeless beverage. In addition you’ll be able to try their house-made Root Beer in a drinking cup made by Resident Artist, Daniel Ricardo Teran.
