Where to Watch Christmas Tree Lightings in Philly 2019 Edition!
Okay so several locations already have their trees lit and illuminating the Philly nights. However, if you’re still interested in catching a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, there are many still left to take place. From quaint neighborhood lightings to large scale ceremonies, there’s a little something for everyone. So check out our list of where to watch Christmas tree lightings in Philly 2019 edition!
Rittenhouse HOLIDAY PARK LIGHTING
December 3 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Held annually in late November or early December, the Rittenhouse Square Holiday Park Lighting is organized by The Friends of Rittenhouse Square. The Holiday Park Lighting is a Philadelphia favorite and kicks-off the Rittenhouse holiday shopping season with family-friendly activities and music leading up to the lighting of the 30-foot holiday tree and white globe lights. The holiday park lights continue to be illuminated every night through the end of December.

December 4 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Save the date and celebrate the Joy of the Holidays in Philadelphia! Kick off the winter holiday season with a FREE festive evening featuring exciting entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a grand finale – the lighting of the spectacular Philly Holiday Tree by Mayor Jim Kenney and City Representative Sheila Hess.
Old City/Betsy Ross House Christmas Tree Lighting
December 5 @ 5:30 am – 7:30 pm
The festivities continue with the third annual Historic Holidays Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 5, from 5:30-7:30pm. The kickoff celebration will take place at the Betsy Ross House courtyard (239 Arch Street) and will feature music performances, seasonal sips and bites, and a holiday tree designed by Old City’s Petit Jardin en Ville, a Parisian Florist and Garden Designer!
East Passyunk Avenue BID and Passyunk Avenue Revitalization Corporation invite you to kick off the holidays at the Annual East Passyunk Christmas Tree Lighting. Come out with neighbors and friends for an evening filled with holiday music from Alphabet Academy Child Care, Andrew Jackson School HOME rock band, and more!
